Point it at a podcast, lecture or interview. ClipShlip finds the moments worth cutting, reframes them to 9:16 and burns in captions in the style you pick. Urdu, Hindi and Hinglish are first-class.
Features
Everything a clipper does by hand, done on your own computer. No uploads, no account, no per-minute fees.
Captions in Latin, Roman Urdu, Nastaliq or Devanagari, word by word and in sync. Not an afterthought bolted onto an English tool.
Scores every part of the video and tells you why each clip made the cut.
Reframes to 9:16, 4:5 or 1:1 and tracks whoever is talking, without the seasick camera.
Word-by-word animation, highlight colours and placement, previewed before you export.
Your own watermark, an end card and background music that ducks under the voice.
Transcription and rendering happen on your machine. Your video never leaves it.
Captions
The same clip, captioned four ways. Pick one to see it on the phone.
What's new in 1.4
The app measured caption lengths wrongly whenever two overlapped. Every overlap was counted twice, so each caption after it landed late, and the error grew as the clip went on.
Across 141 caption tracks from ordinary runs, 35 drifted by more than one frame and the worst ended 9.9 seconds behind the audio. All 141 now land on time. Clips exported with 1.3 have it baked in, so re-export them in 1.4.
Drag the two handles under the timeline. The clip is re-cut and re-captioned in about twenty seconds, with your end card, watermark and music back on.
1.3: boundaries were finalTick words in the transcript and remove them. The audio goes with them, for a stumble, a repeat or a name you would rather not broadcast.
1.3: nothing could be removedCorrect a word and it changes everywhere in the project at once, after telling you how many it found.
1.3: once per clip, every clipMove every caption up to half a second either way while the preview redraws against the speech.
1.3: nothing you could doBurn them in or none at all. With none, your end card, watermark and music are still added.
1.3: every clip got captionsA Captions: OFF button beside Export gives you the clip with nothing drawn on it.
1.3: only the captioned oneScrub to any frame and use it as the poster, or save it as a PNG thumbnail.
1.3: always 20% into the clip"Upload short clips" now captions your edit without trimming it. An 18.8s clip stays 18.8s.
1.3: it trimmed anywayEvery export writes a .txt with title, captions per platform, hashtags and call to action, and Urdu and Hindi open correctly in Notepad.
1.3: trapped in the appThe app now says so before the run, instead of after minutes of extracting audio.
1.3: you found out after the waitThe trim handles and the Export button are always reachable, with a scrollbar where it was missing.
1.3: Export ran off the windowmajhe, mire, chka and bn now come out as mujhe, mere, chuka and ban.
1.3: you fixed them by handHow it works
